Solar Brokers MCP Gateway: Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Solar Brokers MCP Gateway, an internal tool operated by Solar Brokers U.S. (Bill Marks). It connects our own AI assistants to our own Google Ads and Google Analytics accounts (Solar Brokers U.S. and our affiliated business Home Shield Alarm). It is not offered to the public and does not access anyone else's Google accounts. For our general website and SMS policy, see our Privacy Policy.

Google data we access

Google Ads (scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords): we use this permission to read account and campaign performance (impressions, clicks, cost, conversions) and to run read-only reporting queries. We also use it, in a limited way, to create new Search campaigns, ad groups, keywords, negative keywords and ads in our own accounts. New campaigns and ad groups are created PAUSED, and keywords and ads can only be added under paused campaigns, so nothing created can spend money until a person at Solar Brokers reviews and enables it in Google Ads. The gateway cannot enable campaigns, raise or edit existing budgets, delete anything, or change billing, users or account access, and new daily budgets are capped in code at $50.

Google Analytics (scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly): read-only. We read aggregate website analytics reports and totals (for example sessions, users, page views) for our two websites.

No other Google permissions are used.

How we use it

We use Google Ads and Google Analytics data only for our own internal reporting and for preparing paused draft campaigns in our own accounts. The data is shown only to us, through our own assistants. Results are processed by the AI service that powers our assistants, only to carry out our own requests.

Storage

The gateway does not keep a database or cache of Google Ads or Google Analytics data. It fetches the data when one of our assistants asks and passes the result straight back to that assistant. Summaries or reports built from that data may be saved in our internal working files (for example, a weekly performance report), which only Solar Brokers can access.

The Google authorization token is stored only on our private server (and in our private, access-restricted operator workspace and server backups), in files readable only by the administrator account. It is never published or shared.

Hosting and logs

The gateway runs on a private server hosted by DigitalOcean in its New York (nyc1) region. Data moves over HTTPS, and access to the gateway requires a private access key.

Our server records standard web-server access logs (time, IP address, requested URL, status, browser/client identifier) for security and troubleshooting. Access tokens are redacted and request contents are not logged. These logs stay on the server, are capped in size, and roll over automatically. Server backups are kept by our hosting provider, DigitalOcean.

Sharing and service providers

Solar Brokers MCP Gateway's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google Ads and Google Analytics data only to provide the gateway's reporting and paused-campaign features to Solar Brokers U.S. for its own accounts; we do not sell it, transfer it to advertising platforms, data brokers or other information resellers, or use it for credit or lending decisions.

Google user data is shared only with the service providers needed to run the gateway, only to carry out our own requests:

  • DigitalOcean (hosting, backups and monitoring)
  • The AI service that powers our internal assistants

Google provides the Google Ads and Google Analytics APIs themselves.

Revoking access and deleting data

The Google account owner can revoke the gateway's access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions by removing "Solar Brokers MCP Gateway".

The gateway itself holds no stored Google Ads or Google Analytics data. Logs roll over on their own. Paused campaigns and other items the gateway created live in the Google Ads account itself and are removed in Google Ads, not through the gateway.
